What is the cost of a repair?
I know costs are on everyone's mind when considering clock/watch repairs. Often, only by looking at a broken time-piece can one quote a repair price. But I don't charge for looking or estimating a repair cost. no repair: no fee.I have over 25 years experience in maintenance and repair of measuring instrumentation (mechanical and electronic), so I can usually quickly give an accurate estimate. Servicing can start from as low as £75 for a single train clock (time only) and £50 for a watch. Prices would depend on the clock/watch and the complications.

Do you only repair clocks in the UK?
Unfortunately I don't yet offer a postal service but if you can get the clock to me, I will be happy to examine it and give my advice.

Do you repair any mechanical clock?
Is there a minimum value of clock before you consider it's worth fixing?
I will provide a free evaluation on any clock to let you know if it is something I can repair or whether it is worth repairing. I understand that there may be times where an item is sentimetal. I will be happy to look at it and let you know what options there are.

I have a grandfather clock. How will I get it to you for repair?
If you live near to my location, I can collect your clock but unfortuntely, I am not able to offer a collection service anywhere else at the moment. As the business grows, it may be something i will be able to offer in the future.

Can you build me  a watch or a clock with a good quality mechanism?
I can build a clock or watch for you. As I only have a small workshop, please understand that there will be a timescale involved.

How do I pay you?
I can accept debit/credit card, Paypal or cheque. Please be aware that if you wish to pay by cheque, I will have to wait for funds to clear before releasing any work done.

Can I bring my watch/clock to you?
You can bring your timepiece to me by prior arrangement.

Do you repair vintage clockwork toys?
I would be more than happy to have a look at any clockwork devices you have and let you know if it is something I could repair.

Does your charge/estimate cover courier, postage costs?
I estimate only for the repair or work. Courier and postage costs will be added. If you post things to me, please make contact first, and send by 'signed-for-post'.
